This time I tried creating a rough texture with Mr. Surfacer. Original engine cover is flat. I wanted an iron cast texture on the engine hull. A small plate on the top, exhaust muffler and front contraption will remain flat. I am not sure about the muffler - perhaps I will apply the texture on the bottom part as well.
Next I will undercoat the whole engine with black paint and drybrush the cover with silver and front contraption with copper.
